Description of the project content:
The project supports the participation of the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences in an international consortium research project under the Horizon Europe programme, with the ID number 101057971. The four-year project aims to produce new functional "REP polymers" for the high-value thermoplastic elastomer market by recycling local consumer waste, which could be used in the future for the production of consumer goods, automotive and construction applications.
The main advantages of the product to be produced are:
- Mouldability without additives.
- Production, processing and recycling using existing equipment.
- Processing, recycling and reuse with existing equipment.
- Unprecedented potential for unlimited recycling.
MATE performs environmental toxicological testing and evaluation of the building blocks and the degradation process during product development.
